Warren Worthington III, also known as Archangel, is a mutant character from Marvel Comics, primarily associated with the X-Men.

He first appeared as Angel in X-Men #1 (September 1963). Born with large, feathered wings, Warren initially possessed the ability to fly at great speeds. His mutation granted him hollow bones, allowing for effortless aerial maneuvers.

Later, Warren underwent a transformation orchestrated by Apocalypse, becoming Archangel. His organic wings were replaced with metallic, razor-sharp wings capable of firing projectiles. This change also affected his personality, making him more ruthless and aggressive.
